FAQ on the forums

Why these forums?
The newsletter, offices and other websites we have were simply not enough. Here we can in a continuous and flexible manner discuss and develop Robin Hood further.

Why is it called discourse.robinhoodcoop.org?
Discourse is the name of the orum software used. It has some very nifty features.

Where can I get help on using the site?
When you registered as a user, you get a private message (PM) on how to use the platform. Look at the top right corner, there you have your user profile avatar/picture: by clicking it you get a dropdown menu where one of the items is a picture of an envelope; the PM is there. Alternatively, here is a link: http://discourse.robinhoodcoop.org/t/welcome-to-discourse/11

Why is there wrong/missing/old information on the forums?
The answer is the same as in the case of Wikipedia: because no one, including you, has corrected it. If you can, fix it. That is exactly what the forums are for. When in doubt, contact one of the moderators.

How can I contribute to Robin Hood?
Check the contributor/volunteer section, the guidelines are there.

Where can I find metrics on the forums?
On the “About” page, here, the link also contains a list of moderators.

@Tere We can also add a link to the about page which has some interesting metrics as well as a list of the admins:

Might also be worth pointing people to the volunteer section:

The link to the “Welcome-to-discourse/11” page doesn’t exist, or cannot be accessed at my current trust level.

If this has been changed already, then NP.
